As a former media practitioner, I strive to frequently come up with feel good travel videos, shot and edited as my personal souvenir gem documenting my road trip experiences, gastronomic adventures, cultural immersions and eco-tour activities. These, I share to my family and friends who I hope to have been with me during those trips. You can watch some of my travel videos here.

As a child, my mind wandered after the very first travel book I read. It was the book that introduced me to the world and marvel at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Eiffel Tower, Grand Canal of Venice, Hanging Garden of Babylon, Niagara Falls and even the Wax Museum. That book was entitled "Places to Know". By the time I entered college I got to own my very first manual SLR, had an opportunity to successfully develop a film roll inside the university's dark room and fell in love with photography even more. Eventually, my first job made me taste the life behind the camera working for the Philippines leading media network and entered the world of TV Production.

May 27, 2008 marks the birthday of this blog, just a week after my birthday, sharing an all girl Getaway at Puerto Galera launching as my very first published post to this blog that was then entitled Travel Journal.  I continue to share my travel stories up to this day to remind myself of how good it feels to see and experience the world outside the comforts of your personal space.

And after 9 long years of waiting, I decided to do a major overhaul to this blog and finally bought the domain,

Lakwatsarah is a combination of my name and the tagalog term lakwatsa which means TO WANDER.

We always learn something new when we travel, when we go out there and explore. Travelling is my breather, my way to balance life. I want to discover the world, see the sights and savor the scents of all things strange and foreign. And I will start taking notes, photos and videos here in my beloved Philippines.

I'm Sarah Garcia, a storyteller, former media practitioner, a shutterbug, a home chef wannabe, a mouse potato and an OFW.

I am Sarah and this is my Lakwatsarah stories.
